Joe Bonow grew up in a very small town in MN and started playing organized basketball in fourth grade.  He played at Onalaska Luther High School and was briefly on the team at Wisconsin Lutheran College but his fondest memories of basketball are from 4th-8th grade.  The game was fun, the coaches were encouraging and he was able to learn the game in a positive environment.  He lives in Elkhorn with his son Carsten (3rd) and daughter Emilyn (6th)  and is currently acting president of the Elkhorn Youth Girls Basketball Club.
